Getting Started

  • Booking

Our pricing is a simple flat rate — one cost covers travel, outreaches, and all printed marketing materials.

Your church may also choose to receive and keep offerings each night.

Flat Rate Options: CHURCH Receives Offerings

    • $5,800 — 4 nights of outreaches

    • $6,800 — 6 nights of outreaches

    • $9,800 — 10 nights of outreaches

    Alternate Pricing: BOLDFISH Receives Offerings

    • $3,000 + offerings — 4 nights

    • $4,000 + offerings — 6 nights

    • $5,000 + offerings — 10 nights

We want every church to be able to host an outreach. If finances are a concern, let us know when we talk.

    Deposit

A $1,000 deposit secures your dates.

The remaining balance is due on the last night of the outreach — giving your church time to receive offerings, if desired, to help cover costs.

    What’s Included?

    • All outreach nights

    • Printed materials (posters, invites, table tents, door hangers — mailed to you)

    • Digital marketing (social media ads run for your event)

    • All expenses included (travel, training, setup, and outreach — no hidden costs)

    First Step

📞 Give us a call and we’ll look at available dates together: 701-404-1800

  • We bring a ministry team traveling in a motorhome and semi-truck filled with everything needed for the outreach — sound, lighting, props, costumes, video, and more.

The team typically parks in your church lot, and all we ask is a water and electrical hookup.

Your cast and crew will come from 20–40 volunteers in your church or community. Our ministry team will train them step by step and help them bring the drama to life!

  • The first step is easy — give us a call and let’s talk dates. 📞 701-404-1800

Prefer texting? Shoot us a message — we'll call you back.

  • BOLDFISH works in churches of every size — from a few hundred seats to thousands.

If your sanctuary lacks the space, many smaller churches host in a local gymnasium, city auditorium, or hotel convention center.

  • Advertising

    • Printed material such as posters, invites, table tents, and door hangers are all included in the outreach cost.

    • Churches usually choose to add extra advertising on their own — like Facebook, radio, newspaper, or TV.

    Meals for the Volunteer Cast

    • We do ask the church to provide lunch for the volunteer cast during long rehearsals. It keeps the energy high and rehearsals running smoothly.

  • Change the Date

    • We will do our best to accommodate the change and apply your deposit to the new date.

    Cancellation

    • More then 90 days - We will refund half of the deposit

    • Less then 90 days - Forfeit the deposit

  • The drama works best with 20–30 volunteers, made up of adults and older teens.

About half of the roles are speaking (and a little singing) parts, while the rest are non-speaking or backstage.

Most volunteers will come from your church, but you’re encouraged to involve people from other churches — even unchurched family, friends, and neighbors you want to reach. We’ll use them all!

    Additional Volunteer Help

    • When we arrive, we’ll need 8–16 people for about 30 minutes to help unload the semi.

    • After unloading, 4–8 people for up to 2 hours can help us set up some of the larger equipment.

Once that’s done, our team takes it from there.

  • Absolutely! Having the set in place actually helps build excitement for the evening presentation.

Your worship team can set up their instruments on Saturday evening or Sunday morning, then clear the stage after service so practice can begin.

  • Our ministry team will assign all the parts when we arrive. That way, we can match each role to the right person and make the process simple for your church.

Booked? Now What?

  • Printed materials — posters, invites, table tents, and door hangers — are all included in the price.

Some churches also choose to add their own advertising, such as Facebook, radio, newspaper, or TV.

In addition, we do some paid digital marketing for each event. Many churches choose to add some extra to this budget for even greater community reach and attendance.

  • We travel with all the lighting, sound, and video equipment needed for the drama.

When it makes sense, we’ll also use some of the church’s existing equipment. Either way, you'll have everything required for a professional presentation.

  • RV plug in power

We ask the church to provide a plugin for our motorhome: a 4-prong, 240v, 50-amp receptacle. (as pictured)

If this is not possible we'll talk through other options together.

  • We’ll arrive a few days before the outreach, and the stage will need to be completely cleared (mics, keyboards, drums, monitors, pulpit, etc.).

Your worship team is welcome to set up their instruments again on Saturday evening or Sunday morning, but they’ll need to be removed after the Sunday morning service so rehearsal can begin. Many churches choose to run a scaled-back worship team that day.

We’ll also need full use of the sanctuary during setup and rehearsal times. It may work best for the worship team to practice prior to the teams arrival or early on Sunday morning.

  • We recommend offering a kids’ program during the event. Some portions of the drama are not suited for children under the age of 10.

On average, 10–30 kids attend each night, so having a simple program ready helps everyone get the most out of the evening.

  • Yes — we ask the church to provide altar workers each night. These are the people who will minister to those who respond at the end of the drama.

Our team will give the altar call and pray with those who respond, then hand it off to your altar workers to begin making meaningful connections. They’ll encourage new believers in the basics of faith — reading the Word, attending church, and being water baptized (often that very night).

As a guideline, plan for altar workers equal to about 10% of your anticipated audience. Choose people you trust to connect well with new believers, and feel free to include members of the cast and crew.

It’s also helpful to have a few Bibles available to give to anyone who needs one.

  • Whenever possible, we recommend offering baptisms immediately following the altar call. It’s a powerful way to help new believers take their first step of obedience.

    • Plan to have 20–40 simple outfits and towels ready — things like shorts, t-shirts, scrubs, or sweatpants work great.

If baptisms aren’t possible during the outreach, we encourage scheduling a special baptism service the following weekend so momentum isn’t lost.

  • Each church decides how they would like to handle follow-up, but we encourage being intentional about helping new believers take their next steps.

Following the outreach, many churches find it helpful to preach a sermon or short series on topics like:

    • The Bible (its structure, where to read, why it’s reliable)

    • How to follow Christ (turning from sin, living by His commandments)

    • Spiritual Disciplines (reading the word, attending church, praying, fasting, tithing)

This keeps the momentum strong and fulfills Jesus’ command to “teach them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:20).

  • We are available to preach on Sunday morning if invited to do so.
